Remembering Eunice Kennedy Shriver

I will be honest here, I did not know much about her other than she worked tirelessly to get the Special Olympics off the ground and running. But reading her biography on Wiki, I am amazed at her tenacity and firmness.

Here is a women that even as a Democrat still believed in Christian principles and was not afraid to stand up against that party for what she saw as wrong.

I think she deserves the limelight she is receiving because she really put her money where her mouth is. Her life is a tribute to all Americans who want to see the good in people. Her life represents what can happen when a person is determined to make the best out of any situation.

Mrs. Shriver we will miss you, but your legacy deservedly shall go on!
