Tax Overload Freedom for 2008

Mike Huckabee is proving that taking a stand is one way to get a surge without spending millions of dollars on publicity. In fact, this is one of the reasons I am beginning to feel he is a candidate worth supporting.

Too many presidential candidates are wishy-washy. Where are the true leaders? Our current list of "wannabes" do not seem to wish to take a stand or they retract their stands or they wish to return us back to isolationism. I really want someone who will take a stand and say what they know to be good for America.

I want a president who will listen and not flow by what they hear from political polls. The entire democratic list for a potential candidate spends more time trying to outdo each other's hate speech that their "progressive" meanderings are more backbiting without any true direction. I used to be a democrat, but they changed since the times of great Democrats like Sam Nunn (GA) or even the outspoken Zell Miller.

People have demonized Miller. Why? He took a stand and stood for something. Do I agree with everything he says? No. But at least he is real.

The scripted and painted falsehood we get from today's candidates from both sides is getting under my nerves. Just stand for something and let the people decide. Abraham Lincoln was the lowest man on the totem poll. He wasn't even supposed to be a challenger, but he stood for something. He stood for the freedom of slaves and surpassed his rival and became president.

Our current tax system is killing our ability to maintain a strong position in the world. We used to stand for creativity but have choked ourselves off by the greedy whore-mongering that we get out of Washington D.C. They are fed by special interest so much that they would rather kill off our nation than admit mistakes or wrongdoing.

The FairTax is not a perfect solution but it is a solution.

It will untax the poor and pay them five times their current benefit rate.
Top Ten Reasons Why Democrats Should Strongly Support The Fair Tax

It will stop the exportation of jobs and the mass exodus of corporations.

It will untax education by eliminating tuition from taxation.

It is revenue neutral - It is a 23% tax rate that keeps current revenue that same as today's tax rates. Yes, 23%. Unlike the lies being told by those being paid by special interest groups to bring fear to everyone.

The FairTax is not a political slogan being used by either side of the aisles. It is a nonpartisan tax system that is great for all people because it taxes wealth while taking the burden off the working class.

If you want to be president, stand up for something and stop being wishy washy. Go Mike Huckabee, at least you believe in something and do not mind people knowing.

Do your research and don't let people decide for you:

What is the FairTax plan?

The FairTax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an integrated approach including a progressive national retail sales tax, a prebate to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level, dollar-for-dollar federal revenue replacement, and, through companion legislation, the repeal of the 16th Amendment. This nonpartisan legislation (HR 25/S 1025) abolishes all federal personal and corporate income taxes, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, self-employment taxes and replaces them with one simple, visible, federal retail sales tax administered primarily by existing state sales tax authorities. The IRS is disbanded and defunded. The FairTax taxes us only on what we choose to spend on new goods or services, not on what we earn. The FairTax is a fair, efficient, transparent, and intelligent solution to the frustration and inequity of our current tax system.
