- President Obama, with a Democratically dominated Congress will raise taxes on the top 5%.
- The top 5% will in turn cut jobs and stop creating new positions.
- Those who lose their jobs or those who cannot find a job will have lower taxes.
- Why? They will not have any money to pay taxes with.
It is not too late to start demanding the FairTax or at least getting involved with electing Mr. McCain.

Unfortunately I believe McCain is on record (during the primaries) of being opposed to the FairTax. Obama hasn't taken a position (no surprise there - can you vote "present" on this too?).
That said, I'd have much better hope for the FairTax coming to fruition under a McCain presidency than under Obama. At least McCain shows that he understands the economic principles of smaller government and lower taxes = business stimulation and (ultimately) more tax revenues from the resulting economic growth. McCain came around on the topic of drilling, perhaps he too can come around on the topic of the FairTax.
Urge all your friends and colleagues to consult the "Congressional Scorecard" link at www.fairtax.org when deciding who to vote in or out this November. The more enlightened individuals we can get elected into congress, the better our odds.

I meant to say Obama would be like the 18th century French cure for dandruff by Dr. Guillotine. :^)
It is unfortunate that Mr. McCain is against the FairTax. The most I have ever heard from him on it is that he thinks it sounds good but needs more study. But at least he does see the need to lower corporate taxes.
I also am glad he has seen the necessity of drilling now. If you haven't checked out Pickens Plan, I recommend it.
And yes, Mr. Obama's plan will more than likely cut the head off our economy. I always heard you shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you. I wonder if he has?
